There are fashion girls, makeup girls and nail girls…I am a hair girl at heart. I’ve loved hair from young age and decided to become a cosmetologist as a tween, with additional aspirations of course. (You can find out how I became a cosmetologist here) I attended cosmetology school in January 2001 and became a licensed professional March 2002.
Over my 20 years in and out of the industry, I’ve grown to be a healthy hair advocate. Although I can style all types of textures, my current focus is natural hair.
After years of working in various salons and taking a pause during college, I became an entrepreneur opening my own salon suite. As owner of Metamorphosis my clients receive not only the Metamorphosis experience in person but they also gain tips to maintain their hairstyle and hair health between salon visits. To make sure I am doing my best to keep them on track I retail the products used in salon for at home care and even launched my own line with two hair oils due to client needs.
Taking the salon experience beyond the chair has always been a goal of mine and now I am doing so with the content you receive here and on my social media platforms. Not only do we discuss hair at Metamorphosis we laugh and encourage each other through our lives. I will be sharing those same tips with you.
More than hair, it’s a lifestyle is a real-life mantra that I exercise everyday with clients.
I am more than a girl who loves hair now. I am a woman who loves all things beauty related, beautiful and creative.
